Teaching for the past 18 years has given me many memorable experiences. I have had the joy of working with students of all ages and watching them develop their musical ability over time. Numerous students have taken piano lessons from me for more than five years -- one very talented girl studied for seven years! I have taught people from all walks of life, including the children of music industry professionals, foster children, and retirees.
My students have wanted to learn everything from the Beatles to Beethoven to Bollywood songs! Some have gone on to college music programs, while others have simply enjoyed playing for their grandparents during the holidays. Whether I’m teaching young children or senior citizens, my goal is to impart the skills and knowledge they need to develop their talent and achieve their musical dreams. Here are a few letters and messages my students have given me over the years.
Dear Ms. Lori,
Thank you for a great time in piano. Reed really enjoys everything he learns from you. We look forward to resuming lessons in August. Have a lovely summer!
Sincerely,
The Thorne Family

Hi Ms. Lori!
I just wanted to let you know that I did my audition for the symphonic chorus last week, and I got in! The audition process was very extensive. First I had to sing the song we prepared. Then I had to sight read a piece from Mozart and do rhythm testing then some more sight reading. Finally I had the written exam with the music theory. The whole thing was pretty difficult, but I can definitely say that the song I sang was a breeze compared to everything else. The director really liked it! Thank you for all your help Ms. Lori! I really couldn't have done it without you.
